What can I expect with my Free Estimate appointment?
A Drake Service Consultant will meet with you and provide a complete inspection, analysis, and estimate. This is all Free.
We only provide estimates on site, and you must be home for the estimate.
Depending on the service(s) you are interested in, this appointment usually takes 1-2 hours.
Will the job be done the same day as the estimate?
No, but the work can usually be performed the next day if required.
What discounts do you offer?
Each service page on our website will show any current discounts.
What forms of payment do you accept for recurring services?
We accept all major credit cards or ACH for recurring services. We do not accept checks.
What is considered an uncontrollable weed and why can’t you treat for them?
Uncontrollable weeds include Crabgrass, Alexander Grass, Bermuda, and Torpedo Grass, to name a few. These weeds or grasses are uncontrollable because there is no herbicide available that will kill this weed and not kill your lawn.
Are my services on the same day every month?
We try to schedule your recurring services during the same time each month, or every other month, but this is not always possible. Rest assured, regardless of the time of month we treat, we will obtain optimal results.
Why is there blue dye in my lawn and why is it only in certain areas?
The blue dye is applied with our weed control applications so both you and the technician can see all of the weeds that were treated during that service. This dye does not permanently stain anything.
When can I expect to see weeds dying from your service?
Depending on the weed type and application, weeds will begin to die within as little as 2-3 days or as much as 2-3 weeks.
Drake cannot treat earlier than 3 weeks due to the risk of overapplying a herbicide and damaging your grass.
How long will it take for me to see improvements?
You will start to see improvements in as little as 2-3 days when weeds begin to die and the color of your lawn gets greener.
What is an SIT and why is it required?
Your Summer Insecticide Treatment is an essential application that is performed every summer to prevent and control Chinch Bugs and Lawn Caterpillars. These pests are very difficult to control, and this can only be accomplished with specific pesticides.
This application allows us to guarantee control and provide a Lawn Replacement Guarantee.
Will the rain affect my treatment?
In most cases, rain will not affect your treatment and may be beneficial. Your technician will indicate watering instructions after each service on your service checklist.
Is there an extra charge for a service call?
No, you do not pay for any services above and beyond your normal service visits according to your agreement. These are free.
How long will it take for me to see improvements?
You will start to see improvements in just 1-3 days from your initial service.
Why am I seeing increased pest activity after a treatment is completed?
You may see increased pest activity after a treatment due to the disturbance of their hiding places and normal activity.
Will the rain affect my treatment?
Rain will not negatively affect your treatment.
